Bottom paint aka antifouling is a paint or coating designed to discourage weeds, barnacles, and other aquatic organisms from attaching themselves to the underwater portion of your boat’s hull. Bottom paints have traditionally accomplished this by the inclusion of a biocide, with copper being the most commonly used today. Yacht antifouling is the single most important issue below the waterline since some waters can be brackish water or as we call them lively waters and there are many barnacles and organisms which can invade your hull and reduce your speed, sometimes propellers can be totally covered with barnacles and the propeller becomes a ball of organisms which cannot give you thrust and needs to be taken care of.
We can provide you with the best possible alternative yacht antifouling paints such as Hempels, International, Jotun, Polysan, etc. which can be applied on the hard in our boatyard with the experienced crew as well as replacement of sacrificial zinc anodes.
